Totally this. Maybe a great email client doesn't need to be a SPA. I love a lot of the decisions HEY made, and think the onboarding was lovely. But I think people are over hyping the core UI/UX. Is it fast? Yes. But what data are

People on the donald openly celebrated violence in top upvoted posts. Tons of open racism. Politics has turned into a bit of an echo chamber compared to 10 years ago, but it is in no way the same as T_D. That "dropping pretense" y

Pretty good representation of my work flow. I generally save the details (permissions, validations, test coverage) for the end of the process, once the architecture is more solid. Some projects I spent more thinking on, but especially where

Honestly I found turbolinks to be an abomination, even the newer version. It's "ok", but doesn't play nicely with any 3rd party anything.

Not really at all, there are some posts about things like stimulus and DHH is obviously against SPA apps. However, go look at any Rails job posting board... Like 60-70% of them are looking for Rails + React (which is a great combo btw) Even

I guess that makes sense, and by most measures makes it seem "impossible". But the flip side is, why not? What else do we have to do...

This is a good point. However, labelling might be a good alternative to the sugary drink taxes that many places are currently voting in favor of.

It can be even worse for some people stuck in the Corporate/IT world of endless projects spun up destined to failure because all the requirements are coming from the top of the organization with little insight on how to put it all toge

Honestly though, even if it isn't a stupid statement, it doesn't change anything. The planet WILL be fine, the solar system, universe, existence.. Yea, in the big scheme of things it WILL be fine. Conservation is about conservatio

If you are in the Redux world I would maybe take a look at Reselect ( https://github.com/reduxjs/reselect ). As the other comment said, your problem should be solved by shouldComponentUpdate or more granular coupling of

I am in a lot of hiphop oriented servers, through which I have met a lot of people who have invited me to other hiphop oriented servers. I also have a fair amount of different IRL/internet friend groups who all have their own channels.

I am on Google-Fi. Performance / coverage is pretty good, but I can't compare to ATT. I will say I feel like the pricing isn't very competitive with other carriers, as it was ~2 years ago. Fi is a great choice for someone who

This comment isn't really related. I obviously love Discord and have been using pretty much since it became an option, but I wish there was a better UX for people who are in TONS of channels/servers. I find it hard to navigate all

I think a lot of the themes in this article I can agree with, but I come away with the overall impression that the author hasn't necessarily worked in a healthy agile environment before. Basically, I agree with many of the conclusions

So, overall I think given the problem you are solving, there is a LOT of thought that could be done in regards to UX. So, ignoring that you guys are probably keeping that in mind, I have a few smaller comments that seem like immediate thoug

I find this interesting, but feel like there should be a "less developer" focused version for non-dev communication. IE: Product manager, stakeholder, etc. Give them an easier way to annotate parts of the page with notes, versus t

This is what I came to find. It was so refreshing to see some charming imperfections that make the design so much more personal, feeling old school while still maintaining a modern flow to the page.

Here is more nuance for you: A) Americans need to be more health centric. Half the problem is that a minority of chronic patients account for 50% of the costs. Drive through rural America, fast food is the only option. Grocery shopping at D

To add on to the other poster, Coinbase has some terrible workflows. Inconsistent card verification, ID verification is pretty much broken (intentionally or not).
