Are you using nvidia drivers by any chance? And correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t KDE neon supposed to be a bit less stable?

I think the term golden handcuffs would apply here and I’d say it’s not enough. If the basic necessities were affordable, I might put my skills into a completely different field than the one I’m in. Unfortunately, everyone is hoarding money

Still a step forward. Right now Reddit is like facebook messenger, doesn't interact with anything. If it goes away, it's 100% gone. If your phone carrier disappears, you might have to change your number but you could still text an

The fact that no one is really in control. I donate to my mastodon instance knowing that if it takes a turn for the worst, I can just go somewhere else and donate there. It’s not flawless but at least no one is holding all the cards.

Yep. I am so glad this is happening because hopefully it means this is also the last time. RIP Digg and Reddit.

Why? Does no one like floor to ceiling windows anymore? I’m sorry if I sound sarcastic, it’s a real question. I kind of love the way some offices look on the outside.

I might need to dig up college notes because I didn’t even know there were 3 kinds of aether theories…but yes, the Lorentz aether (so far) reads a lot like special relativity. Thanks for the rabbit hole!

I'm very interested in hearing about how the process went for you. I added my email address to my HN profile, let me know when you get it so I can proceed to remove it. I'm not sure that good news will come out of my meeting with

That was my exact reaction too. There’s a reason python and other “slow” languages are dominating. Very few industries require that kind speed, and even fewer require it at the cost of simplifying code or architecture.

But that’s kind of the point with Einstein. Work was going towards the aether and in the wrong direction. It was a leap rather than an incremental or logical next step to come up with relativity.

It’d be fun if they added Easter eggs to it just like how companies would advertise jobs in the browser console.

I seriously think that we need to collectively stop worshipping individualism so hard. Go do something for others.

So, not for naught? Seriously, we’re social creatures that live for others. You can have 40 good years serving the next generation, building wealth for them and sharing in their joys. I’m sensing this strange notion in older generations whe
