For what i understand the remoteStorage has different plugin storage you can use. If you want your data to be available across multiple computer you should use a plugin which store data in a cloud storage like dropbox,gdrive o even S3. But

That's pretty cool, I plan to do something similar but with a cheap smartwatch, a lot o Chinese smartwatch are based on the same soc family, and usualy are pretty hackable.

While i understand the article and agree with it, i love programming webapps. The combination of html/CSS is much easier (for me at least) to work with than most other rendering framework, also JavaScript while not perfect is very good

i think the hard part is maintaining it more than creating it. Library dependency and testing. There is a lot more than just creating a package.

what will happen to test pilot after the non-webextension are not allowed? As far i know must of these feature are implemented as extension and i don't thing webextension have the api to do a lot of thing that are in test pilot.

are you sure? i worked with flash and actionscript, and i doubt they are more complex than html/css/js, personaly i think the contrary. What make more difficult the reimplementation is the abscence of a specification or a standard
