How is a plain text file more flexible than a PDF? It's trivial programatically to extract plain text from a PDF so it's as least as good as .txt?

I have heard that OLED screens are extremely difficult to read in daylight/direct sunlight, can anyone confirm or deny this? I think this would be a problem in on a phone in some places.

OS X client boots fine without a monitor attached, it just don't initialise a display device. You can connect via SSH and use other services. I think if you enable VNC in Sharing, it will simulate a 1024x768 display for you to use.

I'm kind of suprised they don't have some sort of analytic system in place to detect this sort of thing automatically. I hope they are working on one, as manually discovering this thing with the amount of apps/developers would be nigh impos

How would that be different from HTML5 web apps? (besides being slower, larger to download, uglier, more proprietary, less accessible and more CPU intensive)

The iPhone can multitask just fine, it's just disabled by default to preserve system responsiveness and battery life. I have 6 apps open at once here.

Seems so high. The floppies only held 400KB and if you only had one drive you needed to hold a System folder, the Application you needed to run and still have room to save your document.

Well 10.0 was called Cheetah -the fastest cat- yet paradoxically it was well and truly the slowest OS X ever (early adopters will cringe as they recall). So there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the naming scheme besides that they

If they had a similar contest for cars, you could be sure all the Aston Martins, Corvettes and Ferraris would be the first to go as well.

It's hardly surprising that Adobe has problems with almost every OS upgrade, a perousal of http://adobegripes.tumblr.com/ will quickly show you what garbage software it is.

Well if you're seriously considering the neo freerunner then you obviously also don't like the hassle of "making/receiving phone calls" or "navigating a usable interface" - I'm sorry but the entire project (even 12 months later) more closel

Apple and Google are pretty fucking buddy-buddy atm, and isn't Google trying to scan/index every book in existence? Apple could execute it perfectly, with iTunes as a frontend to Google's vast library.

Although they're EFI based, this has nothing to do with the PRAM of older PPC macs, which has become less and less used since the advent of OS X which stores 99% of it's settings in .plist files on the HD. the PRAM used to store all sorts o

I'm not sure where you got your information, but the TV and Mac Mini can both display 1080p. And the mini can decode 1080p h264 video without breaking a sweat - even a core duo 1.83 has no issues there.
