That might be an issue with YouTube's automated system though, not necessarily the channel admin's.

Slightly offtopic but for a browser there's Chromium Legacy which is basically Chromium with compatibility patches for older macOS/OS X. Works on 10.8 or higher.

Try slackware, its very simple and easy to use, and allows you to actually understand your system like the BSDs.

SeaMonkey for irc/mail/web browsing, dokuwiki for personal notes, emacs for code editing.

iMessage generally works well on old versions. I used it just fine on an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4 (from 2012!) last year.

Is there any reason to use mplayer instead of mpv?

You don't need an account unless you're commenting. I get feeds for the channels I watch via RSS and use mpv with yt-dlp to play them.

Sadly ArcaOS isn't so usable nowadays. The biggest issue is that an ancient version of Firefox is the only viable option for a web browser.

Maybe you can try getting DivestOS running. They only have 14.1 (Android 7.1.2) but unlike old LineageOS builds they patch security vulnerabilities and include some hardening.

While it is true that OpenOffice didn't get major updates for nearly a decade, it does what it's supposed to do, and is pretty stable. I still use it as it's faster than LibreOffice and I'm used to it. And why spam Apach

Though there are probably ways to work around that. I've used a Magisk module to trick SafetyNet and successfully used banking apps and such a few years ago.

Illegal or not I'm glad to see these getting released on public, it won't cause much harm due to being ancient but they're great learning resource.

Mine also appears to be purged now, it was a free ga domain registered from Freenom for 3 years. So, there's no way to get it back now I believe. Guess I'll have to find a new one..

Is /tmp usually wiped on a reboot? On my slackware box the /tmp directory wasn't auto-clearing so I had to setup a cron job to wipe them every week.

I have a much older Google phone, a Verizon sold Pixel 2 which is not unlockable even after connecting to the internet. I got the phone second hand hoping to run LineageOS but I couldn't, so I just left it on my drawer. They really nee

I still use my 2008 MacBook with GNU/Linux and FreeBSD on it. It does all my web browsing tasks, and most stuff runs fine on it even with it's limited 2.5GB ram. I guess OS X is pretty heavy-weight.. The 2014 MacBook Pro should be

It's still possible and although it isn't linux we have things like pfsense too. However, unless you're trying to do something special in the router a cheap router with openwrt on it would do the job.

Farmers will keep generate revenue with their lands 10, 20 years later. But Microsoft won't generate revenue with Office 2003.. This is whole different.

The thing is that the ones who steal are going to steal them anyway, even with the locks and sell them for parts. It won't really prevent theft but would only increase ewaste.
