I’m fine with app restrictions as they are. The problem is even apps which do not do anything special get removed from the App Store for a ToS violation. You can not for example publish an app that lets you download YouTube videos for examp

There are far bigger issues in Australia right now to care about meta data logging. Climate change and now the vaccine delay consume all of the publics attention. Metadata logging is a theoretical issue while the lack of vaccine supplies is

I guess then google should fire all of the low performing youtubers (blocking them from the platform) and send out orders for what content each YouTuber will be making. Since they are employees of google, they should be making google approv

What about the value the employer creates by setting up a platform, initial investments which lose money to draw in users, and taking on all the risk and paying the workers anyway if a particular video flops. Only fans is also the alt path

You don’t find people on patreon, you find them on other platforms and then pay money typically for some way to interact with big personalities. I doubt there is much demand for scrolling through an index page of strangers to pay them money

Reddit’s reliability is a major point and it’s something that has actually gone better. As horrible as the new UI is, back when the old ui was the main one, the site would go down almost daily and often for hours at a time.

Isn’t no code and GUI software builders an idea that has been tried for decades? Wasn’t Adobe dream weaver one of the early tools?

What does this question even mean? What does paying for mean in this context? Are you asking if Elon takes the cost out of his personal bank account? Or if they send every tesla customer a bill for new battery tech? What is the difference b

Is there any research showing that these people should not get vaccinated? At worst it does nothing, at best it helps. I don’t see why google should bother with an exception here.

This is because the moderators will often ban all disagreeing members. I’m not talking about trolls, but genuine and good faith discussion. Saying something like you don’t agree that investment properties should be illegal is enough to get

It’s an actual product. My grandma in Australia has had one for 10 years. I’m guessing it never took off because we don’t have that much of a water shortage in most places that washing hands is a luxury.

Just like how all SSDs will fail after enough writes. A problem that I will never stress over. I have had many oled devices for many years and I have never once seen noticeable burn in like I have never had an ssd die. I’m not denying it ex

Doxing is far greater than being canceled for a reddit comment. An open source dev recently got doxed and had 4channers banging on their house windows at night. Swatting and similar activity is also an extreme problem.

Extensions have sandboxing and permissions but to be able to do anything moderately useful you need access to literally everything. For something as basic as an ad blocker or a theme loader you need full access to every page.

I saw one YouTuber build a bike that was structurally unsound and would fall apart just after the thief started riding it causing them to hit the ground. The new Bluetooth tracker tags from apple and Samsung might also help.
