It doesn't even have namespaces. ARC basically made "struct" obsolete (goodbye easy literal data instatiatons), and it doesn't have a lot of the things programmers have come to expect even in compiled languages these day

Also true of WebKit. I don't think it makes sense to draw conclusions about a project which started as a closed in house affair, based on projects which were based on open source ones, as parent has.

Which is only the beginning of a full mapping since the method is actually a descriptor. The method lookup has to go through a bunch of rules that mean we get the correct descriptor behaviour in a given context.

Because that conclusion would be nonsensical, that leaves the alternative that "Ayn Rand and God" are an entirely separate part of the sentence. At least for me, removing the Oxford comma made it much clearer that Ayn Rand was not

Some sentences are down right unreadable without the Oxford comma, and others make perfect sense. I agree with the author that it's not always so cut and dry; we're not communicating with a computer after all ;) Excellent point ab

Sending tones in band actually works reasonably well on mobile networks. It's not 100% reliable which is why alternate signaling is used, especially when the signal quality is low.

Aside from the fact this is not strictly legal, my experience has been that this is more effort than it's worth. And if you have any hardware that's a bit non-standard, you can forget about it.

The Macbook Air has had a pretty embarrassing screen resolution for some time now. There's also a dearth of peripheral connectivity for more advanced setups. That's even assuming I want an ultrabook and not something else entirely

Apple makes it hard to run OS X on anything but Apple hardware. For anyone that doesn't want to be bound to Apple hardware, this is not really even a real option.

This is a part of what's wrong with modern western culture. Statements must be filtered not by truth, but by how comfortable they make us feel. If someone is made to feel like they're not special, they become instantly offended. I
