It's not a bad pointing device, that's the thing. I can use a Mac with a trackpad for pretty much anything, including image editing. It's precise, doesn't do ghost clicks/taps, and it's BIG I never found a non-

Anyone interested in the official data regarding Zika/dengue/etc, they're published by the gov - eg https://www.vs.saude.ms.gov.br/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Bo... (once a month)

Most contracts these days are a docusign you click twice to sign. Not much more friction or back and forth than a ToS...

So the rule would be that companies can only get acquired after they go bankrupt? Would anyone ever invest in startups, in that scenario?

The amount of critical production code that's straight up copy+paste from notebooks is pretty jarring too. Lots of pasta and lots of extraneous libraries (like gradio) all over the place

Github Copilot is shockingly good, I'm much more productive with it. I also frequently use GPT to review emails or co-write content, with pretty great results. Takes me minutes instead of hours. What sort of "groundbreaking"

Hi HN! We recently launched a very simple to use text to image app along our main product (Clio), and I wanted to share for y'all here to play over the weekend. Free to use (with a paid plan in case you want private content, more credi

a16z took decades to build a reputation and less than a year to toss it in the fire. It's hard to take their current discourse around anything seriously (they constantly publish think pieces on hype topics like AI or games).

it really is a testament to how well engineered Twitter is/was. I well remember Musk gloating about how the architecture was stupid and he'd fix it. Twitter would be long gone if his remarks were anywhere near the reality

Their main use case for these models seems to be AR. Throwing it out in the open might help getting external entities to build for them & attract talent, etc. Not sure they’re that strategic but it’s my guess

It very much is a typical big corp, and OP is correct. It's easier to ship something on a new domain, using AWS and a bunch of contractors, than to add a subdomain to facebook.com or some other top-level domain
