My gut reaction is disgust towards the power of emoji, but when I stop to think about it, this isnt a bad thing, this is probably good in the long run. The power that emoji wields towards getting users to update is simply astonishing.

Wait do people not use .env files? I've aliased "gitinit" to make a .env file, .gitignore that ignores env nodemodules etc, then runs git init

This seems very promising. With C9 being moved to AWS soon, I might look into building an internal version of it powered by launching VSCode instances.
