Among all books since the printing press? Can you be more specific? Actually, I take that back. I do know some great ones that you ought to read no matter what your situation. The Little Schemer http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/matthias/BTLS

I've found there's no net benefit to caffeine. A little bit can make me a bit more alert and optimistic, but then I pay for it with interest on the caffeine hangover / comedown. Besides, more than a little bit of it makes me much too rest

Wow - I use a lisp, but this argument is awful. Saying you can really quickly whip up something that works in Perl is an overwhelming recommendation. That the subsequent code in unmaintainable is a relatively tiny disadvantage. From the

I would use Scheme. It's a good general-purpose language, suitable for about anything. You can whip up prototypes quickly and whatever you write ends up being pretty succinct. Another option would be to just use WikiMedia's code.

Is San Francisco included in the San Jose metro region? If not, then probably the entire upper half of the peninsula isn't included in the comparison. Looks like it is, though. That's weird.

You're going to need good design. It's best if your founding team has some design talent, but if not, you may be able to get by with hired guns. But in that case you'd better have someone else who can evaluate the quality of the hired gun

Yeah, I've heard that's good. Is the Mini-Kanren thing you build a useful constraint logic programming language to use from within your Scheme programs? Sometimes CLP is exactly what you need; it'd be great to have it at the ready.
