I wonder what needs to happen for US people to realize that only they could stop this. Are even any values of the US left to fight for?

I've read brain drain in this thread multiple times. I might agree this happened back then, but I don't know what people mean by it right now. Where is the term coming from suddenly and why is it used to uncritical?

Is this some kind of weird meta joke or are people actually arguing about staring into the sun in 2025?

That's where I got my update anxiety from. Everything was broken after every update, but we loved the updates still. It wasn't easy and majong did not help back then.

Ex. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/aug/04/swiss-presid... He literally made a personal point out of it calling the swiss president things in public.

I am wondering if this is maybe very welcoming for the EU. I don't think the common American creator ads a lot of value to our culture at this point, so maybe nothing of value was lost really.

I could see local variants of American data dealers for Europe as well. Facebook without all the privacy issues would be borderline useable, maybe.

That's a great way to make sure to have zero bird population around your place very soon. Which will come with a new peak of insect population.

In my area according to Google maps I see J1772, CCS1, CCS2, Typ 2, CHAdeMO, NACS next to schuko (landline) (in Austria right now). As said not all stations provide all the standards, not every station has CCS2, hence why I carry multiple c

I don't drive a RV, I just charge my campers batteries sometimes. I have 3 different connector cables from the common connectors I found in Switzerland, France and Italy only.

That is what you say. If we don't get chlorine chicken, mass farmed cow meat and stuff like this many of us are already very happy.

I love going to France, and really like their quality approach. But try going to Germany or Austria. Basically the same price or more expensive at the same or worse quality.

Switzerland has plenty of tariffs around farmed goods to keep our farmer market healthy. But it does indeed make products more expensive (and higher quality) and everybody here knows and most accept that.

Not at all. Also usually when things break you can just Google and fix it within a few minutes. It's not the hours of debugging why grub suddenly broke or X isn't starting anymore it was long ago.
