If there's no lock/handle, I 'kick' the door just to avoid touching it.

I almost always wait for someone to open the door if there's no way to do so without touching nasty door handles. Or find a tiny piece of paper to use and discard afterward. Or hold the door with my feet while I clean my hand after ope

I rather use my own t-shirt to dry my hands than use a hand dryer. It should have been years since I last used one. I hate it since a child. Automated paper towels dispensers should be the rule, not some fancy air blade thingy. If I'm

Is this a joke? If you disagree with Amazon (that is doing nothing corrupt in this matter) just stop using it and you're good. Good luck getting rid of your corrupt government, if you live in the middle of the forest. Bezos is no tyran

Why do you say nginx is not free? If anything, nginx is more free than HAProxy (that has a viral license).

Me too. I used to use Linux before and anytime I'd move to a new computer I'd decide whether I should swap the hardware or do df to list devices, then: dd if=/dev/a of=/dev/b if I decided to migrate to the new

As a Brazilian, I'm pretty happy with this. 1. Corrupt states haven't gained control over an important TLD. 2. Corrupt states aren't getting gift cards that would be used for making the lives of corrupt officials better. 3. C

The missing 0.1% is usually the most painful and the time it takes to update sucks. I love my mac but it has a long way until it improves this. Ideally I should be able to swap the SSD and have it working 100% (besides a few software that f

In my previous company we used to use HAProxy, and it was a hassle. Yes, it is powerful. However, nginx is way easier to configure and set up, and performance wise is a contender for most usual applications people needed. Maybe for a few ed

You definitely enjoy life. I have been a few times to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. One of the few times I ever saw a perfectly clear sky (others were during a trip to Big Sur and in Iceland). Mojave is still on my TODO list. I hope I can g

but do you shower and make sure you enjoy life, right? I ask this out of curiosity and to try to understand your motives. If you just happen to like to be in the open for a while, I totally understand.

That's great to hear. In contrast, I was in Russia last year and it was hard to buy a train ticket and they had this airport-style security checkpoint even for buying tickets (and the security theatre at the airports were even worse).

I am all for decentralization. Heck, I am even working on a business idea that involves it as a core part of the business. However, I feel that decentralization should win the marketplace by providing value and making users adopt it willing

And the answer to that is regulating? Of course not. Regulations like these only work out for the powerful.

Why regulation? It's working quite well so far. Let the market work things out.
