It's not really different from the parallel realities interpretation. The dead and alive cats exist in separate, parallel universes, each totally unaware of the existence of any other universe than its own, and when the experimenter op

Agreed, but most of the essays I read are precisely made of this kind of contents, so I would have hoped some updated books. Just like most of the best-seller essays use this type of contents, just read any book from the regretted Stephen H

The odds of the Arctic becoming ice-free, including continental ice, are really disturbing. See the reports on the probable collapse of the Greenland ice. Whereas there are no such concern in Antarctica, only its ice shelves are threatened.

No, these leaks are of serious concern. This was one of the reasons behind the recent scandal where "blue hydrogen" had been found to be very dirty.

The big progress to watch is rather the new process to catalyse CO2 hydrates formation from CO2 at sea floor conditions [1]. What we really need is capture and store CO2, not capture and release again... [1] https://phys.org/

I'd really love a version of the Framework with buffed up graphic cards, such as a RTX or equiv. That would place them above System76 in my ranking, and it is the only criterion stopping my hand to purchase one right now...

What I find interesting is that these sterile neutrinos do not "badly broke" the Standard Model, instead they come as a complement and obey all the other principles otherwise held for particle physics (symmetry groups, isospins, e

It's because it's not about India, it's about the Nipah virus. Viruses don't know borders. Block humans and they'll pass through the animal route. Also, the Nipah virus is extremely contagious, like the covid.

I know other horribly screeching trains, e.g. the Paris metro. May it be for the same reason? If so, then the fix seems straightforward.

What monopoly? I use FDroid without any problems thank you very much. Now if Google has a program to make happy its customers so that they don't leave... I wish all companies strategies were like that!
