You're right, I only focused on that one single reason for my post since I was in a hurry. Security issues are obviously more complex than one-line explanations. Thank you for your more elaborate reply!

Yes. This is why you never perform any actions which change something over GET. Use POST (or PUT or DELETE) for them.

I consider myself a well versed user and just found out recently that my Core 2 Duo laptop (which I bought in 2007) supports amd64. Have been running i386 all the while, and have even explicitly downloaded the x86 version of Fedora when the

I guess the idea behind this is that it's way easier to attack a vertical niche than trying to go horizontal.

Last time I looked at Mailjet they didn't offer this. Sendgrid does do that, as does Mailgun. I've tried both of them for BunkerApp and decided on Mailgun for various reasions. One reason was that Mailgun offered a simple way for a catch-al

Honestly, I don't understand your and the parent's comment. I really, really like LWN and appreciate what it does for the Linux and broader FOSS community. In my opinion LWN doesn't only shine when compared to some crappy "linux news pages"

Could you please elaborate on that? How do you do "trusted" live forensics on systems with possibly infected kernels and stuff? Assuming these servers were normal COTS and nothing fancy (thinking of CPU-bypassing memory access...)

Yes, it's more complicated than just SSH'ing into the server. But on a compromised machine you can't trust anybody, not even the kernel. Assuming the worst, the attacker could have gained root privileges and modified the kernel or the base

That's the thing. The GNOME project understands itself more as an OS than just as a "window manager". Most (not all, but most) of the hate against GNOME 3 is not against GNOME, but against gnome-shell and gnome-control-center. These are jus

Nope :-( "Available only on tablets.", see http://www.android.com/whatsnew/ New versions of Android usually roll out to Nexus devices days or weeks after the release of the new hardware. So you should expect November 13th + X days.

jsmn is great if you use it as a lexer and you know that your input is well-formed. We use it for our games to read in our configuration, gamemodes and level files. We've just built a few wrapper functions around jsmn and called it "jsmx",

You can use e.g. this link and then select different types of color blindness via the popover on the right: http://colorfilter.wickline.org/?a=1;r=;l=9;j=1;u=aozora.git... In short: Metro looks different because it uses different colors.

My SaaS is Bunker App ( https://www.bunkerapp.com/ ), and its customers are freelancers. I don't know if this qualifies as B2B since most of my users are single freelancers or at most small shops.

My SaaS app was priced exactly 5$/month previously. It had a decent conversion rate, a handful of users, lots of support requests, and a bit of revenue. Meanwhile I've increased the prices, the cheapest plan is now 29$/month. Guess what? Co

Great idea! But 3$ is really way to cheap, even at the current 9$/month I'd just have signed up without thinking twice! Why? Because I know how much value a tour provides my app/my revenue! I already have a simple tour in Bunker App but it
