LOL, this sounds exactly like the Dutch tv game show 'Lingo' that's been on tv since 1989. Everything old is new again! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lingo_(Dutch_game_show)

You're probably being sarcastic and I completely agree that it's scandalous that those responsible (like Cheney) got away with it, but it was all over the news at the time.

You can implement some version of that as long as you have dynamic scope. For simplicity let's just use pseudocode with globals: # By default Yield throws an exception global Yield = function(n) {throw n}; def example() = {

Part of it is cultural I think. In Clojure you'll often find yourself building your app incrementally, sending individual functions to the repl from your editor. I don't think there's any reason why you couldn't do that

The author seems to basically be describing Dart 1, which wasn't actually all that successful. It was a dynamic language with optional typing and it excluded some of the hard to optimize parts of e.g. Ruby, JavaScript or Python. Whethe

Same in the Netherlands. Rich, poor, young, old, everybody rides bikes as a normal way to get places. Not sure what chip the GP has on their shoulder, but it definitely doesn't match with my experience.

I was surprised to see that Smalltalk-72 was actually a much different language. In some ways it reminded me of Lisp macros and a bit of stack languages like Forth. This document [0] and especially Appendix II in this pdf [1] explain it wel

Amen. The principles behind Six Sigma are solid. They're just a repackaging of Deming's SPC principles after all. However, too often it devolves into a box ticking exercise. That being said, in my experience just educating everyon
