If I were retired, I'd write a terminal that passes an extra bi-directional pipe (fd 3?) to programs for an interactive jupyter-like REPL experience. From that pipe, programs could request a canvas from the terminal (mmapped file?, sh

Kitty / Wezterm / iTerm2 / mintty and a few others already support base64 encoded gif/jpg/png, which are more space efficient, and easier to splat as b64 blobs than to dither and sixel-encode. Sixel needs to die.

Not frustration. Astonishment, at such low levels of self-awareness. People who will neg an entire region one minute, then get so hurt and offended by the advice of " don't wreck your pancreas " that they flag and report it

FWIW, I don't know why they downed you either. Just thought that your epitaph was premature. Despite recent developments, the symbolic calculator via teletype is still getting me to the point of "correct" faster than ChatGP

For a VT term, looks like some home-brewers made this: https://geoffg.net/terminal.html Several people seem to be making and selling them.

APU is x86 compat, up to 4GB RAM, mSATA, serial port, but no video. Buy an old VT term off an auction site to complete your browser-free experience. https://www.pcengines.ch/apu4c4.htm

GPT is master of "approximate". Automating "correct" is still an unsolved problem. Will it be solved tomorrow? 5 years from now? Never? Who knows? Bicycles, and their near-optimal designs, are still a $68B industry.
