I've been using Syncthing for more than a year across ~6 machines to keep them in sync. It works great for more complex setups than the article describes.

I bought 3 pairs of QC20s. Each of them fell apart in less than a year, despite absurdly careful care. There's a design flaw where the wire connects to the battery pack. Tape could only hold them together for so long. After 3 failures

According to your own citation, Google deprecated multiple APIs every year. So the odds of Google cutting off access to an API you use may be decreasing... But it's still nowhere near zero, and it's still a valid concern.

I can't do much justice to the topic in a HN post, but this post specifically describes Go module's dependency resolution algorithm and compares it against SAT solvers like Cargo's: https://research.swtch.com/

Traefik isn't worth the trouble. We used it in production over the course of 2 years, and it was consistently our only source of downtime due to rediculous bugs: not closing file descriptors, breaking changes, and silent failures with

It came down to preference. I find HyperApp's codebase simpler to read/reason about (it's a pretty straightforward single file), and I prefer its API over React/Preact's.

We use Hyperapp to power our most complex UIs (decision trees, onboarding sequences, etc.). We didn't need any of the existing React ecosystem for that, and by removing React, we saw several benefits: 1. Smaller library for faster page

This is an exceptionally simple library to use in place of React. Both its performance and the development experience have been great. My company's been using it in production for more than a year now without any issues. Highly recomme

I recently went through the same Mac to Windows conversion. For a Sketch replacement, try Lunacy by Icons8 -- it's a Sketch clone for Windows (not quite as good, but pretty damn close, and it opens even complex sketch files perfectly).
