>The answer is "real identity." Oh boy here we go. Anybody who's ever followed a Drudge link to a news site that uses Facebook comments knows that isn't true. The Internet is inherently toxic. Right now we're a

I lost a lot of respect for Apple when they bought them. Beats are what a lot of Apple haters used to accuse them of being, overpriced junk that caters to gullible fashion victims. I won't be switching to their new music service.

It would make collaboration tough though. The whole point of open office plans is to improve communication (actually it's so the boss can look over your shoulder, but I digress).

I think it's the fact that they have your real name and face from multiple angles that makes Facebook so dangerous/valuable. Google knows a lot about you but if they don't have your face it's not worth as much when they

Seems like branding is the way to go on the internet, rather than throwing crap in peoples faces. Example: Yahoo News, brought to you ad free by Nationwide Insurance Then people think "I like Yahoo News, I like Nationwide Insurance&qu

I got into an argument about that with the guy at the Home Depot paint counter today. I blamed the hack on Home Depot probably running XP on their POS machines and he blamed the banks not doing something that they do in Europe, I'm ass

There are a lot of terrible things out there but one that really bugs me is all the misinformation/propaganda that the internet causes. I didn't see it coming, I thought the web would make people more informed, not less.

Something like a Mozilla-run opensource p2p Rdio with periodic NPR-style fundraisers? Sounds good to me. The problem as always would be with the major labels, they won't go for anything that weakens their control, but you could certai
