Does Tesla do any real usability testing? Or is it strictly yes-man grab ass and fanboys? /capacitive/ turn signals without even haptic feedback? How the fuck did that get through initial design? How is that even legal? With the

OH! Omg. I read that as ReFS and not “reference” lol. Case I’m using is a SC743TQ-1200B-SQ I love it. I have 6 more of them that I use for various things (3 are dedicated to my plex cluster).

going forward I will either be using ReFS or ZFS. It will depend on what OS I decide to leave on this new build.

What’s the time out on being able to edit posts? Because every time I think to go edit one more than 60 seconds later the option seems to be gone.

Not to cause any arguments or anything but comparing an Apple Intel laptop go their new ARM units isn’t a great comparison because I swear apple started thermally gimping them several years before releasing the M1s to make them look even

I did convert it to cash. The problem is in the US you can’t suddenly have thousands of unexplained dollars when getting a mortgage or similar. I guess I should have clarified: I didn’t directly give them crypto. I was using it to cash ou

Same. I’m one of those lucky few who had futzed with BTC in 2011 when it was almost brand new and then forgot about it till 2019 when it started spiking. I spent two weeks digging through boxes and imaging hard drives before miraculously fi

This is a surprisingly well written /book/. Thanks for the link. I used to do game save file hacking on palmOS as a teen. Was a hoot. Eventually turned to full blown “cracking” of software. That was a fun hobby.

Ditto. The people who get off on unregulated things irritate me. Regulation came about for a reason. It’s not just to control you and make the rich richer. It’s also to help prevent exactly the sort of thing FTX did.

Right? A lot of people will start going on about how modern OSes “do more” blah blah but a lot of that is complete hokum. Imo it’s the endless layers of abstraction and frameworks on top of frameworks getting in the way. It’s hard to get

Lol. This gets rediscovered every few years. Pretty funny. Slowest I’ve run any modern OS on an x86 chip would probably be about 60mhz pentium 1. I used to daily drive Ubuntu (I think 5.04?) with Beryl and Compiz on a pentium 75 with 512mb
