The idea that we're all in the dark about the real relative sizes of the countries is silly. It's not like we look at a globe and get shocked by the sizes of the countries.

It was the "#". I didn't realize that about the behavior in the middle of a token, and apparently the syntax colorizer doesn't either.

Am I the only one completely confused by the examples that appear to put command line arguments after shell end-of-line comments? Is that not a typical shell? example: nix run .#cowsay -- flakes are neat Some explanation of what the

I used to use Phoenix (mentioned elsewhere on this thread) to do a typeahead-style window finder. It would pop up a list of all windows and you could choose from them, but you could type to filter the list down. Very similar to rofi'

Yeah, I used to be a faithful user and I quit because of this. Many Tricks makes good software, but it seems the APIs they use for some of the window information end up getting very slow under certain circumstances, starting on an OS relea

I'm talking about the basic math, absent all other factors. Given a choice between an N% raise two years in a row or a 2N% raise on the first year, the latter is more money. You choose, base salary is 100k and target raise is 10% two

I don't doubt that analyzing the distinction is interesting , but it seems pointless to object to common usage by asking justifying sources to be cited.

I think you might just have to accept that when a lot of people use the term "lapsed mormon," they are using it as a synonym for "former mormon" and that challenging the terminology isn't really very productive.

Are you sure this is typical and you're not just getting the shaft? It sounds way off to me. I've been out of MSFT for a while, but refreshes and cliff-fills are pretty standard for their competitors and I'd be very surpris

Yes, this is bikeshedding at its worst. Just pick one. Preferably one that doesn't involve "clever" code that changes the names of things behind your back based on the English language's weird pluralization edge cases.
