i think people who argue "Snapchat will never be as big as Facebook" are just wasting their time. Who cares? Social experience feels more engaging. FB is better for "acquaintanceships", but Snapchat is better for friends

i would advise against meetup.com for most people depending on your city. It's filled with 45+ year year olds. Among the younger meetups, its going to 9 guys - 1 girl ratio. The guys are typically all out-of-shape and awkward nerdy typ

for millennials specifically in CS, i'd argue that things are better now any other time in history. Many are getting $125k+ salaries in the Bay and Seattle. Of course, not everyone will work for a Big N. Even still, getting a $70k+ off

i don't think its a bad thing that Snapchat will replace Facebook. People don't want an imitator. The whole point of Facebook is to "record personal history". The whole point of Snapchat is to maintain "privacy"

Facebook has lost ground for genuine social interaction. Facebook is more serious stuff such as life announcements for new job, grad/college acceptance, engagement to their significant other, uploading a vacation photo as their profile
