Does this apply to Google, car companies, etc, or did they bribe in exceptions for themselves (like California grocery stores did for the Do Not Sell My Personal Information law)? Also, who gets the $200/day? If I issue a drop request

I wish they had a toggle for this. I'd much rather just have one backup system. Per-app backups is a pain to keep track of, and signal data is by far less sensitive than other stuff on my phone.

It's great to know this exists! It's one of a few reasons I switched back to iOS after trying grapheneos. Back then, you were still using Google's backup thing, and it was the year when they intentionally broke it to encoura

They'd also have to update all their phone spec sheets -- not having the sandbox doubled graphene's battery life on my Pixel 6 Pro (in practice and vs. advertised specs).

I'm not mad that they have a fork of some FOSS software that they use. I'm upset that they're actively trying to take away other people's freedom under the banner of a non-profit whose mission is to support FOSS softwar

Yes, but Forgejo is developed by Codeberg, which, according to the FSF essay's criteria, is offering an unethical product that undermines user freedom. You haven't provided any evidence that Codeberg is trustworthy.

I'm increasingly tempted to just archive.is 100% of anubis page loads or something like that, then instruct my LLM to try archive.is if it sees anubis. If there was a plugin for this, it'd probably get close to 100% cache hit rat

Yeah; the benchmarks + setup guide I linked show that it takes a lot of careful setup to get them to work at all, and then you only get 100's of tokens per second per cluster. That's why I pointed out the next generation is coming
