We have a high end bosch (the absolute best model of the best brand the year we bought it), and it’s been wonky for three of the five years it has lasted so far, and now rubber noiseproofing is falling out and the racks are rusting through

I’ve hit more broken games due to GPU firmware bugs than due to Linux compatibility. Windows users with my GPU report the same symptoms as I hit, fwiw.

What percentage of Windows games still run on current Windows? I never managed to get anything close to 90% of my library to run on the same windows installation, but I gave up years ago, and just use Linux instead.

This would effectively ban software that lets you run AI locally, or to access it anonymously. I don’t see how it would be possible to provide AI services in educational contexts, or to teach kids how to use AI-based tools.

I wonder if we need a GPL v4 that revokes itself if the end user violates other people’s human rights. That way, this sort of situation would result in the revocation of the python license, instead of the grant proposal.

Also, Apple, and T-Mobile. I thought Germany still frowned on policies like Trump’s, though I suppose demolishing the White House was on its todo list at some point in the past.

He got 47%, which is not a majority of the vote. Also, many people decided to just abstain. He got something like 30% of eligible voters to vote for him.

I’ll just add that bogus DMCA takedowns (for anticompetitive or censorship goals) are a real burden for many YouTube creators, making supporting their monopoly at least as morally dubious as piracy.

It actually does protect against errors on access, but support is optional. Also, some vendors use a non-optimal hamming code that fails to notice some double bit errors (if I remember right).

Beelink's AMD mini-PCs are great console replacements. AMD $/perf and perf/watt is keeping up with Apple in the midrange (laptops, mini-pc's), and is winning at high-end (workstations + up).
