these is an interesting list. What's blocking you to start? Do you really need infinite resource to start?

My feeling: Meh. On one hand, AI helps me and my team ideate and prototype quickly. On the other, it’s replacing the fun part of coding with the annoying part: troubleshooting its thought process and fixing its generated code. I’d say it’s

you meant Exafunction? Nothing of Exafunction was discussed in OpenAI or Google deals. Windsurf did start as a rinky-dinky starup, just as a plugin (Codeium). And in its current state, it still has no moat. The only reason big tech leaders

Anyone can build a proprietary model in under a week; but the point is - Cursor and Windsurf don't have proprietary models that remove dependency on external models, and/or have capabilities that competitors don't have.

I was so surprised (or shocked) to hear that Windsurf was getting acquired for 3 billion dollars, I made an HN post asking about the truth of that news - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43933825 . HN's system didn&

And I have added a few more lessons since. Specially this simulation can help you decide whether to quit your job for a startup. Walk through realistic scenarios like "You have 9 months runway, no traction yet - what do you do?" B

That claim actually gives me pause. It reminds me of an idea from Zero to One by Peter Thiel - that real monopolies like to appear as a small fish in a very big pond, while tiny players try to appear as a monopoly. So when I see a company b

I wish that too, and I’ve always wanted to offer features like this in everything I build. But it’s a lot of work to prevent abuse, especially for resource intensive features when supporting unsigned-in use cases.

I agree with the principle. Most books in the case study section fall into what I’d call the “self-help-business” category. They’re comforting reads, especially when work isn’t going well. You don’t necessarily turn to them for strategy, bu

After all these years of returning magic values for “no result,” I finally came across std::optional<T> (added in C++17). It makes representing “maybe there’s a value, maybe not” so much cleaner and safer. Has anyone else had a “how d
