So let me get this straight - They're publishing a secret key on a Gist, and then getting whiny when it somehow gets leaked. Github very clearly states that "secret" gists are NOT private: https://help.github.c

Good points, but a very important part of being a 'good' developer is prioritizing goals based on relative impact, and ultimately Getting Things Done. 'Sharpening the axe' and programming for its own sake is great, but

There's a lot more stuff under the NASA umbrella than manned spaceflight that do a lot of great science (Such as the JPL) and are generally some of the best at what they do, so I wouldnt advocate shutting down the whole program, howeve

TIL about cloc! Thank you good sir. It seems as though this is because he had node_modules checked into source control on the frontend part. npm basically likes to download the whole internet when you run npm install, so these stats do not

From the article, it doesn't appear to be a full vacuum tube, just much lower pressure, which airplanes have been protecting their passengers against for years. Also, the reason astronauts need to be so physically fit is not because th

As negative as the article sounds, I agree with the overall premise. With the same amount of money that's currently being sucked into their manned program, infinitely more and better scientific endeavors can be funded. Imagine not only

I remember learning how to use Excel when I was around that age, for the purpose of making charts for science projects. Since they're probably learning basic statistics and data analysis around that age, Excel is an effective way of fi

I suppose the hardest part of doing something like this, at least for me, would be coming up with a list of ideas of exactly what to create - not just coming up with 180 things, but 180 things that I can reasonably expect to accomplish in o

It seems to me that all the hyperbole is about raised expectations. Hell, the fact they can even get something like this to work, and are able to determine (somewhat) that it is working the way they intended is enough to get me excited. I d

The big reason I've been using Bootstrap for client websites recently has been the wrapbootstrap store. I'd been looking for something equivalent with Foundation, but haven't found one. This looks like it. I hope it takes off! I might submi
