You need Musk to play ball. Starlink worked fine when Afghanistan turned off the internet. There’s a lot of rhetoric about the evil musk internet there - the government don’t care about things like vsat, it’s very specifically framed as ant

When did the US even “flip the other way” The “left” view points of the US currently seem to be similar to Reagan. The furthest left I’ve seen the US go in my lifetime is about David Cameron or Boris Johnson levels of “left”.

The US constitution limits what the us government can do. It doesn’t limit what a private company can do. And Americans love private companies with full control over their daily lives.

I have a speaker in the lounge and kitchen. Wr want to be able to listen to the same thing whichever room we’re in. Or perhaps we don’t. Being able to say “play this stream in room 1,3,6 and this in room 4 and nothing in room 2,5,7” is a v

It could come back. Trump being removed, Vance returning to normal, then normal for the next decade and it would just be a crazy blip. But it’s not just Trump. This is what America wants.

Most people don’t hate adverts, at least not enough to do something about them (subscribe to YouTube premium, install an adblocker, install a pi hole)

In London public transport accounts for about 10% of the ticket price. For 20p I’m bombarded with flashing moving images as I travel around. It’s sickening and shouldn’t be allowed in public spaces. There was a fight back at Euston station

Why would I an advertiser pay $1 to show an advert to someone that doesn’t have $1 to spend on my product. If they do have a dollar to spend then why wouldn’t they spend it on what they wanted to watch in the first place rather than spend i

I’ll sit through a trailer. The first time. When it comes up the 10th time though there’s no way I’ll be watching the film it advertises, no matter how much I might have done after the first time.

Starmer will fly to Mar-a-lago and return waving a piece of paper saying “peace in our time” It will only be when the US rolls the tanks into Quebec will Europe do something. What has happened before will happen again.

So if you wanted to attack the US you wouldn’t do a conventional “red dawn” style attack. You’d attack like bin laden. And then keep quiet. Normally I’d say the most effective way to attack a western country would be to target kids in schoo

America did that whole “leader is bad let’s get him”, in Afghanistan and Iraq. We saw how that turned out. Nobody cared when Putin or Trump were abusing their own citizens. It’s when they invade other countries where the problem begins.
