I think showing up to your local startup accelerator/startup space every month or two might be worth the time and cost of gas when you're trying to make a case for an entire industry being a bubble.

I'm white and grew up in a near-western suburb of Chicago and have also noticed that white people were quick to adopt a black dialect. I'm not sure it was necessarily only correlated with the things you mentioned (partying, anger,

I really wish more companies embraced prototyping. I think it's really foolish that it's looked at as wasted value a lot of the time.

If you want an economy that encourages investment and trade then you want people to have some inherent motivation to spend money rather than hold on to it. The easiest way to do this is by introducing small amounts of inflation. At the very

People can do things that serve their best interests in the short term but happen to hurt other people. Additionally, short term value is highly emphasized over long term value when most people make decisions. Just because the people with t

Yeah, but what if it was substituted with art, or something similar. It's possible to produce a society which values mentally ill people without necessarily coercing them.

What do you mean by writing visual synths? I've never heard those words combined together and I'm curious.

Well they're being used by the Navy now to shoot down missiles, as far as I know. I think the tradeoffs are that they are super heavy and require a lot of energy but they can accelerate projectiles extremely fast. Very useful if you&#x

Erlang has good C/OS Process interop so the best route would probably be to capitalize on something written in a faster language to do the raw processing and have Elixir there to coordinate resources and report/store results

that seems a bit too expensive. Where do you live? I can't imagine how it would cost more than 100 bucks for those ingredients, and I feel like if I went out to buy the ingredients right now (Chicago) I'd be able to make it for 80
