You might also want to set ServerAliveCountMax to something high, the default is 3 which means if your network is down for 3*30s the SSH client will disconnect.

I'm glad to see projects like this. I had a look at the demo ( https://huggingface.co/spaces/TabbyML/tabby ) and wasn't too impressed with the generated code for the default sample prompt (binary search) -

Edit: The above is true if known_hosts contains only the ECDSA / Ed25519 host key. But as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, newer OpenSSH versions automatically add alternate host keys ( https://lwn.net/Articles/

The SSH client verifies that the host key sent by the server matches the one stored in ~/.ssh/known_hosts. If the key material or algorithm is different, the client refuses to connect. So the server can't force the client t

Good point, but a clarification re Ed25519: what matters here is the host key algorithm with highest preference, not the default/recommended algorithm for the identity key. The highest preference appears to be Ed25519 or ECDSA dependin

The ECDSA key hasn't changed. As pointed out elsewhere in this thread, the official command `ssh-keygen -R github.com` is incomplete -- it doesn't remove IP address entries, they need to be removed manually. What you got was a con

Good points. > Your code is probably saved in UTF-8 right now even if you don't use non-ASCII characters. Nit: For a document that only contains ASCII characters, UTF-8 is identical to ASCII. So calling it UTF-8 is technically co

Even if the fields are stored in the same offsets, there are modern optimisations that rely on "strict aliasing" and that would cause issues (unless the workaround you described is used).

This technique is used in Berkley sockets: the `sockaddr` type ( https://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/009695399/basedefs/sys... ) is the "base" type for other types such as `sockaddr_ip` (for IPv4).
