Same here. Domains are the only thing I can't replicate or make redundant. If there is ANY risk of me getting locked out of my domains without even the possibility of transferring the domain away to another registrar, then I'm gon

Yes, I can read schematics and I have preformed multiple component-level repairs on two of my laptops in the past. Even if I hadn't, this wouldn't discount my argument. The fact that the "average consumer" hasn't wo

I've done the same multiple times with my trusty Toshiba. Stripped down to the motherboard and back. People seem to over estimate how difficult it is to take a standard laptop apart. Not everything is as hostile as a macbook.

Do they also make them available to laptop owners under NDA? I don't mind the schematics not being publicly accessible or open, but they should also be available to customers upon entering into NDA. I want true repairability, and not j

> What makes the framework repairable isn't board-level schematics, its the modularity and access (similar to a desktop). That's just wrong. Modularity and repairability are two very different things. They are not interchangeab

Do you make full schematics and board views available to laptop owners under similar agreements? This is my main concern. If I, as the owner of your laptop, can't repair said laptop after a water spill, then I can't call it repara

What stops this virus from evolving/mutating to kill healthy cells and then becoming contagious? Do we have effective measures to stop this virus in the event that this occurs? If so, what are they? Edit: I don't know a lot about

Can the installed dependencies be downloaded locally? It might be a great way to resolve npm dependencies without resolving having to run npm on my system.

The few remote services I rely on broke on me far more times than my local development environment. Far more if you consider degraded internet connections. I'll stick with my reliable local environment, thank you.

Google AI researchers don't have the final say in what gets published and what doesn't. I think there was a huge controversy when people learned about it last year.

Then they should be honest about it. They can use all the PR lingo they want but don't flat out lie about it. Lying about ethics or misattributing their actions to some misguided sense of "social" responsibility puts google i

Same situation here. When I bought my last laptop, a thinkpad, the main deciding factor was keyboard keys. In their reckless pursuit of apple and their loaded customers, Laptop makers failed to appreciate how important key layout is to reta

This statement is false. Coffeezilla does not believe that "all crypto is 100% scams". Not even close. In fact, he stated in a recent video that he personally holds cryptocurrency.

If you have a counterpoint then by all means make an argument for it, but don't post.. this. It's always disappointing to see what hacker news devolves into whenever cryptocurrencies are discussed. We should try to hold ourselves

This small tirade of yours is arguing against a strawman. GP is likely referring to the userspace component of nvidia's driver, not the actual blob that gets loaded onto the gpu. If it is indeed true that you need to run proprietary us
