Variant is almost synonymous to mutation here. Do you want to say the new variants didn’t come into being via mutation?

I would prefer TeamSpeak over Discord if they would bring back non profit licenses. I mean that I could host one myself but without making profit with enough slots.

Stopped using WhatsApp 2 years ago. I can contact most people in telegram but I’d like to uninstall soon. They make it hard, you need 1 month inactivity. This means 1 month of potentially lost messages you will never see.

It makes a lot sense that OpenBSD removed a lot of code from LibreSSL after forking it. There is only limited time and one can not maintain everything. This incompatibility is inevitable.

This is a problem with many package managers. Even if one downloads a package in Emacs from MELPA. How can one be sure it’s not containing malware? Read through all code every in every dependency after every update?

Podman and LXD have far more secure defaults. It's a terrifying to see that Docker is still around. jail(8) from FreeBSD seems to be the best (from security standpoint), it's also the first container system.

They use it just as a filesystem, like ext4. The RAID is still the classic Linux RAID because btrfs RAID isn't stable. This means BTRFS isn't able to heal itself because there is no copy of the data that BTRFS could use. I built m

There is exactly one distro that comes with ZFS, so it's a bit exaggeration to say it's well integrated with Linux, considering how much effort is applied by kernel developers to make it even harder to use ZFS. And this one distro

Why would Apple investigate? This costs thousands of dollars and Apple isn’t a forensics service provider.

Snap has auto update. So this shouldn’t be a problem here. Only the restarts are manual (to apply the update).

True but I would use pod yaml with podman. It’s not anywhere near being on par with Docker-compose but it’s the better tool because every pod can be used rootless.
