Honestly reading this comment restores some of my hope in people. And it's refreshing seeing the reaction of the comments in this thread. Even though we are relatively unknown as a 'group' or whatever, it's good to know

I think sometimes it helps to biased when the MSM narrative is going to deliberately shy away from calling things out as they actually are. But still the facts here speak for themselves. The guy shot 2 Indians specifically because he though

An attack can be lone-wolf at the same time as being an Islamically-motivated attack. Similarly, an attack can be lone-wolf at the same time as being a politically-motivated attack.

I think what is really objectionable about making this into purely a hate crime is that you are effectively saying because it's a hate crime, it can't also be politically-motivated i.e. terrorism. Much of the anger here is coming

Also, why are you so insistently trying to make this into something other than terrorism, which is clearly is, even by your own definition?

Pretty sickening news, but I'm glad the writer used the term 'terrorist', something the MSM tend to shy away from when the perp is white. edit: Definiton of terrorism from Google: the unlawful use of violence and intimida

This may be a hugely naive question but what could they do if I simply don't use social media? Do they automatically suspect someone who denies using it and what would follow in that event?

I find it more surprising that such a thing hasn't been done yet, or is too painful using existing tools. But you've definitely inspired me to give it a try.

Which is why I feel for a lot of us who don't own Macbooks, it's a major sticking point, and you get a lot of people trying out "Hackintoshes" (which I don't really have much of an opinion on). I just wish Apple had

I made a conscious decision a while back to simply use a Linux distro (Ubuntu) with easily/cheaply-available commodity hardware for programming. Correct me if I'm wrong but other than iOS development, there isn't anything I c

Honestly I hope they succeed, and from the ashes, we get a Labour/centre-left party with some actual integrity and credibility, because this current one has none and wouldn't get back into power anyway. Corbyn seems okay, but he s

Not sure what the point is in getting angry about what billionaires do. It's hardly like they will change their decision-making based on what HN/Reddit et al. think about them. Focus on improving yourself.

Since a few versions now (and also in 16.04 LTS), the Bluetooth drivers in the kernel used by Ubuntu have been broken. Otherwise Ubuntu is a solid distro and it doesn’t get in my way.
