Honestly, I just want the ability to add and remove Android users from group chats without having to start an entirely new thread. If RCS fixes this, then I'll be thrilled.

Base load is decidedly not an obsolete concept. Renewables go to zero, and building sufficient peaking capacity to overcome a total loss of grid power would be preposterously expensive. Renewables spread over a large enough geography coul

Total aside, but I recently purchased a .us domain name for the first time. I was on my phone and signing up with the Namecheap app. I thought it odd that it didn't ask for privacy protection, but I figured I'd quickly turn it o

I get that everybody wants to ride this particular hobby horse, but in the wake of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, and the behavior of these platforms during the pandemic, I'm not sure I wouldn't rather live with lies I have to f

Suffering consequences for crime is, to most people, an element of justice. That form of justice also has the benefit of deterring other would-be criminals. There are those who believe there is no deterrent effect. They're idiots.

Living with the laminates, I wouldn't say they look overtly plastic. Hardwoods are definitely shiny too. You can see a very similar grain in the second photo with the oak. You're right that some wear might change the finish, bu

I think you're right laminates probably cannot be refinished. But they are definitely much more expensive/premium than vinyl. I think we paid ~$3.50/square foot just in material cost. I think it's a kind of pressed fi

We may be an anomaly, but we have 13.5mm laminates[1] which I'd say were relatively high grade when we put them in. The product we used didn't come with stair kits so we had to do the staircase with oak stained to match. We have

Fascinating. That is not a well-known fact as my neighbors were just complaining about this a couple weeks ago. I wonder whether our local pharmacy is setup to handle those requests.

Yes, they have said explicitly they are working to improve the user experience. Likewise, they are working to assure their advertisers that the numbers they are showing them are real users. This has been a known issue since well before Mu

Elon is solving a revenue problem with $1/user/year? That will assuredly cost some real users too? Please. You have this exactly backwards.

You think they’re making money on $1 per account? Processing fees will eat most of that. It seems likely to me they’re doing it to improve the user experience, which if that recruits more users will be worth much more to them than the 10,00

It seems like they could also limit the number of accounts per credit card. 10,000 credit card numbers are not easy to come by. And all of this is creating a pathway for law enforcement. I’m skeptical it’s as easy as you say.
