It sounds like the problem was sign-ups then, not trades.

The only difference between Wall Street and Silicon Valley is that Wall Street doesn't deny their greed.

Which values would those be? Everything used to be proprietary. It's the younger generation that expects things to be open source.

I think in 2021 the only sensible thing to do is use an autoformatter and force it to run before merging changes. Just don't have the discussion.

I mean you can do trivial little toys in the browser sure, but low-latency, real-time audio rendering can't be done in a garbage collected environment (unless the GC is running concurrently and guaranteed not to stall the audio renderi

The browser can't do everything. Not yet at least. It's an inappropriate platform for real time software, like audio.

fwiw these are similar complaints of high tier wireless noise cancelling headphones. Lack of wired fallback for the mic is common enough, I suspect it has to do with the bluetooth SOC on the device.

There has to be a bottom to the stack. What I mean is, at some point types become bytes and instructions. Not every program or interaction is capable of being expressed at every levels of that stack, the invariants must be broken in code an

Use an autoformatter and be done with it. If your preferred codestyle can't be expressed in a standard formatting tool, change your code style and run the autoformatter once. Have a bot make the commit if you care about your diff histo

The two can't be separated at birth. Design is an iterative process that requires feedback loops with the manufacturing teams (including testing and packaging, which may or may not be a part of the fab). Just an example, the design has

I disagree with some of the conclusions. CD is avoided because most software products should not be delivered continuously, as it is inversely correlated to software stability for customers. It may create value internally, but if it doesn&#

I know the reason why its done, and again, this is not a problem if you know how to use your editor. The real anti-pattern is commenting out code to remove it. Delete it if not necessary, line comment anything else.

Most of these are just mistakes you see in code written by novices or non-professionals. Although its symptomatic of a larger issue when working with production C++ codebases, which is that you need a lot of eyes on the code to prevent thes

That's not my point - dependency resolution is a build time requirement, not an install-time one. Requiring the user's machine to resolve dependencies to install your software is fragile, bug prone, and harms the user experience.

I don't appreciate the condescension, is it not fairly well known that shared libraries aren't typically shared at all? You can distribute software that is reusable and packaged for many machines (the ultimate sense of "sha

There are more operators than the infix mathematical ones, like increment/decrement (cursors, iterators, custom counters), dereferencing (used for some clever pointer types), etc. Sometimes there are good reasons to mask complexity.
