Most likely solution isn't either/or between two options but rather both. Lots of people will start doing this and make it more accessible for the common man while others are getting the law changed (if).

I would encourage you to study peaceful revolutions (e.g. Mahatma Gandhi). Protestors protested against unjust laws by filling up the prisons. One can't be afraid to lose money or time when taking a moral stance. You are ofcourse doing

This is categorically false and borders on misinformation. Subpeonas etc. can be challenged by US companies/individuals in the court when they are within the country. Innocent until proven guilty is the way of life within a country. Du

There are multiple valid pushbacks against an immoral law: 1. Try to educate and reform the lawmakers. 2. Create a situation to bring out the absurd. 2 is often easier than 1 for the common man and has been used in many past revolutions.

Yeah, for millionaire/billionaire the definition shifts to the western one. Mukesh was/is also top 10 richest globally I believe.

It's not clear if they are paying 6k or 50k USD to affected moderators. Either isn't enough for a lifelong disease imo. Also, it's shitty that they are just paying American moderators. Shouldn't the verdict apply globall

That's probably because UberEats isn't subsidizing those purchases and reflecting real underlying costs. DoorDash is still a private company and has the leeway to subsidize a lot more.

After-hours trading doesn't necessarily mean much due to low liquidity and volume. You can get high swing for reasonably low volume in a single after-market trade.

You can't ask every user to RTFM. I have been toggling off bluetooth and location for a while to save battery but haven't noticed it. So, I am guessing a lot of users don't end up noticing it as well. There are two issues wit

As an ex-googler, Google was mostly nice and virtuous till Larry/Sergey/Eric were at helm. Things started changing when Ruth joined Alphabet, there was deeper focus on investor returns etc. Soon after that CEO role was transferred

I wonder how far away L5 autonomous cars are. Well funded teams have been developing them for a decade now. Are we still 1 decade away or 2 or more?

Force yourself to breathe slowly. It leads to a much shorter shock phase. This is a neurological hack, basically your mind thinks that everything is ok because you only breathe slowly in calm conditions (cold water is not calm by default).

If you are interested in this, you should probably take a look into Wim Hof. He has made a process out of using coldness for improving day-to-day condition. PS: His practice is mostly (power) breathing and cold showers/swims/etc.

Couple of reasons I can think of: 1. Most people want cars to run 10+ years, even in America (I live in California). Capital, environmental implications, not many new features etc. are valid reasons. 2. Higher quality cars are better to rid

It seems like this isn't going to be a reality for another half-a-decade at least. (2+ years of constructions and 2+ years of productionization for consumer traffic).

I am always fairly surprised at the gross simplification done in HN discussions. Why build another search engine people? Alta Vista etc. have already solved the problem. Not to say that ideas don't fail, but don't count the chicke

Bazel is a ground-up rewrite. Its not related to Blaze apart from naming. There was a skylark project aiming to combine the two over time, not sure how the progress is going on for it.

How do you know if there are 1 or 100 or 1000s of such cases without actual data? Companies should be forced to reveal number of cases per year per geography. That'll allow me to make an informed choice when joining a company. Also, it
