I have a friend who is graduating from med school this week and starting residency. The stories of med school drama, gossip, backstabbing and cheating are insane - on par with anything on television drama. Moving into residency, they also f

A friend was looking at houses via Redfin. The agent told him on day 1 that he should expect to spend 10%–20% more than the online quote, as a rule of thumb. Since then I've taken "Zestimates" with ~65,000 to 100,000 grains o

When I talk to my mother or father, we both put each other on speakerphone. On my end, my wife and I can both talk at the sime time... on their end, they can also have multiple people talking at the same time. This is a 2-endpoint call with

You will appreciate Every Noise at Once[0] maybe. It's all AI, but uses data from a massive set of users. It maps all chartable Spotify genres, and groups them into 3 playlists each. So for the genre, say "classic french pop"

Software mute/unmute has too much of a potential to be abused by 3rd parties in my opinion. For your other comment, what kind of command-response skill could be monetized? Surely for the majority of use cases, the Alexa skill should re

Dark UI doesn't look great in a glass-wall office during a morning board meeting, and it wastes ink. :)

It probably poses some benefits for terminal beginners, such as helping designers use git for instance in a UI more welcoming than the standard term.

I think the idea is that most big tech companies (Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc) generally have custom spyware built into the hardware they distribute to employees.

They have this in the form of a legal note, don't they? Last I heard it was technically "illegal" to run macOS on anything other than Apple hardware per the TOS. Or is that just an urban legend?

Not much. I've personally found Pinterest to be a little more geared toward crafts, recipes, and home decor -- but I know a lot of designers use it for inspiration and mood boarding. Designspiration is more narrow in terms of content,

The "better" version is (and has been for quite a while) Designspiration[0]. A ffffound account, for a while, was just a dick-measuring unit for designers around 2010 +/- a few years. I found through some Google-fu type means

Craigslist is another example. Dense, "ugly", but the wheels continue to spin. There is no magic bullet in design. Drudge Report's design would never work for a product like Facebook, or Stanford.edu for instance - your desig
