sorry to be so pedantic, but passkeys is not a superset. All implementations and even the wording of the yubikeys creators say that it is the discoverable and passwordless option. See [1], i have not seen counter examples where they are wr

no right? passkeys are discoverable CTAP2, as in, no primary login required. U2F is 2nd factor and you still have to do a primary login first.

I'm not sure why you'd say that. Framework still hasn't gotten their s0ix standby stuff fixed for all generations. Used a t480s for 5 years and it was awesome. And now my t14 gen3 is doing pretty fine as well. What are the i

Agreed so much. The total neglect for people still using lo-DPI (a macos term) screens is just plan insult. I see a lot of excuses for axing subpixel hinting with the solution being, "buy a hi-DPI screen."

i've been at the edges of docker-compose. We were always conceptually recreating kubernetes. I'm so happy we've got k8s now and sparingly use some operators where needed, couldn't be happier. The obvious example was cer

ah man, this so much. I've had the honor to work with very good freelancers and couldn't imagine they would've stayed as long as they did if I wouldn't have firewalled them off. I hope someone will do the same to me when

is it me or is emacs just incredibly slow on machines which have endpoint security installed? O/c it's not emacs' fault directly, but all the compiling and loading in of small files really hurts the cold start scenario. So I

The regressions in standby/suspend are staggering inthe last 3-5 years. Peak stability was with my t480s, just proper s3 support. Currently it's hit and miss with this silly s0ix shenanigan.

Yeah i feel the same, however sometimes I just think math is only appreciated until you're older for a lot of people and that's when you gravitate towards these kinds of channels.

this was super fun when i configured this a couple of years ago. Had a couple of chats with really smart people. They helped me a lot. Would be fun to connect my k8s cluster to it.

why is it abysmal? I have to say ubuntu at one point half-assed its introduction. After that it never failed me and streamlined so many things.

not sure I agree with the article or not, just wanted to state there's a third option: you can define your ignore rules per project but not necessarily share the, by putting the ignore rules in: .git/info/exclude

Oh, now I'm eager to now why you think KCL is middle ground, but cuelang and timoni are not. What is inherent to KCL that is so powerful that you can not due in CUE?

His take on text interpolation is very right. I'm a SWE turned SRE because as a developer I really enjoyed using K8s. But as a full-time SRE where I work just means YAML juggling. It's mind numbing that everybody is okay with this

When I was doing more hardcore dev instead of SRE'ing I settled on git branchless[1], was well worth the experimenting you have to do to get it into your mental model. now that I hardly ever have 2 layer deep stacks I just settle on m
