Pretty scary if this is considered difficult. I actually had to redo my math's exam in high-school, so I'm trying to be nuanced here, but really, this question should be doable, at least in the Netherlands, when you're 14-15y

So if the environment is broken, or at least subpar when it comes to functionality, you "fix" the application?

You just got to love this sentence: "Watch high-definition 1080p streams on Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu and more, even without a 4K TV." OMG, this is so great!

Somehow I can never grasp RINA. John Day, one of RINA's proponents usually blames TCP for being fundamentally broken. Ive yet to see a working stack

Heard it all before somewhere, sparsely. But I'd definitely recommend others, new to optimization, to look at this.

I get 40+ with FF on an ancient nvidia 9600gt on Linux. Only changes in config I have: layers.acceleration.force-enabled=true layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled=true

You think we'd be better off with Python, a non-typed language against a typed language? Really, I like Python, but speed as well as typing is lacking. I'm glad we have both languages.

Now, only if X actually worked when you want it to run in a data center and see it on your laptop. X is horrible when the latency goes above 5ms.

A lot of people want to use powerful tools but want it through an iPad-ish interface. If I'm using a space-rocket to get to the moon, I'm certainly going to learn how this shit is working and not fooling myself that if I just know

It's not that simple, when you look at those architectures like AMD's fusion platform, the differences of latencies and bandwidth play a huge role, making it a much more nuanced story. One of the papers showing this: http:/&

Love that paper, though the better-approach section was not as pragmatically explained as the problem's section. I'll raise a glass to him as soon as I'm having a drink with fellow hackers somewhere.
