I owe the guys behind jQuery a lot, they've saved me so much time by preventing cross browser issues (eg. they saved me a lot of debugging time in IE). Not to mention it's actually fun to work with.

Ah, I just moved back to San Jose from SD/La Jolla, I used to go to UCSD. It's a great campus. You'll definitely know if you're near the conference room because there's a GIANT bear made out of rocks in the courtyard. Every few months the

I started diving into it 4 months ago for fun. At first, I didn't like its syntax style. In case anyone is wondering, this is what I'm talking about: object.message(arg1, arg2) vs. [object messageOne:arg1 Two:arg2] But now I'm really enjo

I think GitHub did a free beta launch, followed by a few iterations with feedback, and then they started charging users. That's reasonable for beta users, especially if they get a discount for their feedback.

Sad but true. I got in trouble at my last job as a web programmer for not dressing up. I just wore t-shirt and jeans b/c it was comfy and I didn't realize it was that far off from a polo/collar shirt and jeans.

I'm a vegetarian too, but I'm not really offended at all. It's a business decision to save time and money because we make up such a small percentage of customers. This is sort of the same way I feel about computer games. I'm a Mac user an
