Gmail used to be great. It's becoming horrible. Many things have changed: - Drive integration broke attachments, downloads, etc. - Editing is broken. Sometimes the cursor jumps for no reason. - etc.

What does the sentence "France is generally seen as a world leader in that regard" actually mean when the linked article does not even contain the keyword?

Do you mean it would be better if not open source and solely a proprietary product? AGPL exists and many startups (mine included) choose it because they see a simple (as in: good) business model while releasing the (whole) source code.

Interesting. I didn't knew that the Hastie/Tibshirani/Friedman was legally available as a free download. I would recommend it to anyone with a sufficient maths/stats background.

Most of Opa is now licensed under the MIT license and all of it is open source. We changed the license two years ago.

It's not exactly novel. Opa ( http://opalang.org ) has been doing this for a few years...

Percentage of what? Since there _is_ a relative value between cryptocurrencies, counting volume without taking in account value is meaningless. I understand Dogecoin has a use (Reddit) and could be a great investment in the future, but curr

Looks like the W3C may have been the inspiration for Games of Thrones... Seriously, if there are men and women of honor in this organization, they should stand up against any form of standardization for DRM. DRM can be a proprietary extensi

Seems like every attempt at disturbing Bitcoin ends up reinforcing the strength and the interest in the ecosystem.

Seems a bit like: "You're a startup, I won't use your product." But like startup customers, bitcoin users exist and eventually the new product takes over.

Not yet. What we will do probably until the end of the year is choose a license, clean a bit the tree and commit. Edit: Technically speaking, it IS already on github, just not on a public repository :)

The initial goal of the project was to have a total control on the TCB (Trusted Computing Base) of a webmail for high security environments, in order to be able to pass certifications such as Common Criteria (EAL). Our protocol implementati

Turns out we _do have_ an implementation of ActiveSync in Opa! That said, as we need to make a living, and if we go the MIT way (see comments below), there are high chances that the Exchange support will be a paid extension.

Typechecking JavaScript is feasible. But will be really hard in practice. We have worked for years on the Opa technology, cf. http://opalang.org . Opa is a typechecked language with a JS syntax that compiles to JavaScript. Unlike
