It can't reason at all. When it is wrong it may correct itself, it may double down on being wrong and often just make something up again.

Bootstrapping is a fun thing. You already have some good answers. Now imagine how most things around you were made, how higher tech was made with lower tech. How they made high precision tools, when there were only lower precision tools ava

I can agree on bash syntax being crazy, but certainly not on awk. Awk is very simple, a man page is all you need if you need to find something. Otherwise what's so complex with awk?

My point is to relax instead. So a contrarian answer to the title question (ignoring the broader question): "none". Though often my mind does not stop and does the work on its own or I'm more relaxed and later on can focus be

Maybe I'm strange, but if I would have a friend I would recommend him to either listen to some nice radio with music and news, just favorite kind of music or nothing. Lately I'm partial to the sounds of a pebble beach or strange B

I wouldn't say that Excel is harder to learn. I was thought the basics of it in primary school. I don't think Panadas could be thought at the same level, you need to know Python first and that is a mountain, even if there are much

I would suggest changing the title to "Mountpoint-S3 - ..." as that's the project name to avoid confusion with mountpoint(1): https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man1/mountpoint.1.html

In a way I feel that everything is an alternative to everything and at the same time nothing is. As you said it all depends on the circumstances. But I don't really see Zig competing with Go. They both can do mostly the same things, bu

It is not a keyword in C, so it is not a nit. For all the language is concerned it is just a function that takes a number and returns a pointer. If a compiler treats it any different it is only a question of optimizations or to generate hel

I am pulling a leg here a bit. I could risk a statement that Tcl could be an alternative when all you want is a simple CRUD backend. Now performance considerations are valid, but in some applications Tcl could be fast enough. Both languages

I think one of the author's problems is that he conflates C and C++ and it seems they do not have a knowledge around either. This quote also supports this: > There is no malloc keyword like in C/C++.

Their standard libraries are built around the notion, but I would argue that putting allocation in their respective stdlibs instead of a part of the language makes it possible to be flexible if needed. There are non-trivial and semi-popular

It is not an alternative to Go same as C++ or Rust is not really an alternative to Go. They are on a different level, but can do the same job. Though I could argue that Tcl could be an alternative to Go, I think many would not agree. Zig ha

Yes, but it still is a part of the standard library and how the standard library does things - a convention. Same as in C, as malloc is just a function. You could create a replacement library for C stdlib and it could also expect an allocat
