TF used to be the most popular framework by a large margin, so a lot of things that were started 5+ years ago are still on it. PyTorch is most popular in places that only started more recently or have the ability to switch easily, e.g. new

To me, the worst part of being on call is the stress _after_ my shift ends. I understand that it's a necessary part of the job to fix issues that occur during my shift, so I don't really mind it, but it gives me long term issues.

I was following their Dota project from the beginning, and I think what they did made sense. Their goal there was to demonstrate real time decision making and teamwork in a complex environment without perfect information. OpenAI Five did a

Yeah I obviously don't have enough context here to take a side, but if I was forced to do so I'd pick Ilya over Altman. Curious what other people are seeing that's making them think Altman is a martyr and the board members ar

Whenever you get into an undesirable state, you usually want to undo whatever you just did. Sometimes it's very easy, e.g. if you created an object, to undo that you just delete the object. Sometimes git explicitly tells you what to do

My (possibly naive) hope is that the best practice for a lot of these would be "Don't use AI." That being said, there's certainly a lot of niches in our system where AI could be used. For example, if a witness uses AI to

Yeah, there's a huge variety of SBCs that exist, most of which have a better specs/price ratio than RPi. If you buy a RPi, you're spending money on the hardware, you're spending it on the mountains of support/tutori

I think the point is about parallel vs serial layers of security. In a typical website account that is protected by password and SMS OTP, both of them need to be compromised for a bad actor to gain access. If they have just the password,
