Yes, Kinesis can be thought as a non-hosted version of Kafka. To me , using either of them is a cost versus benefits trade-off i.e. if you are willing to pay the cost of using Kinesis to get a hosted solution where-in the operational burden

I understand the analogy here. But how will it gurantee shipping at a speed equal to a prime member. Do they have a pool of free prime accounts that they will use to order your items or they have tie-ups with FedEx/UPS ?
