I don't think so. Because from my limited tinkering with UWP, I can build a single .appx package and deploy it both to my phone and to my laptop. Am I missing something?

I will be starting at the job the next summer (graduating next summer) and I too thought the same. If I didn't use the company's infrastructure or their internal technology or do the work while on company time (9 to 5) - then they

I agree with what you say. These days I see a lot of projects which could've simply benefited both themselves and others by contributing code to the original project which they re-implemented.

I agree. It's a pain maintaining the same data everywhere. Developer Story is a really good product but I haven't yet taken the time to create mine. I should go do it now.

I really started hating Java when I had to write a government office's Licence Management web application using Java. The tooling is brain dead, except JetBrains IntelliJ. The dependency management system is braindead too (if not for I

Wow, this managed to teach me a lot about my own country and now I can't wait for my exams to end and get a taste of some of them. I really like when someone puts in this much of effort in creating content.

Really happy with the development pace. I started using it by contributing to VSCode and was very pleased with the great tooling and sane language and syntactic sugar.

Reddit's model has anonymity at it's very core. I follow a lot of things on the site and speak a lot about things about which if my parents or my family knew it would be embarassing. Not bad things, but simply things like /r&

Funny how I'm working on exactly that for my major project in Bachelors next semester. I don't have it figured out but it's a problem I'd like to solve.

This is a really interesting and (I think) first of it's kind attempt at something like this. One of the most important things for any relationship to work is trust, same for the human-robot relationship.

After moving from Swing to WPF I started deriding myself for not having done so earlier. WPF is a joy compared to most of the Java GUI toolkits.

PCPartPicker is the a very unique product with a great community and I've benefited quite a lot from it in the past and hope to continue doing so. Thanks a lot for making this.

Well, comparing VSCode to Atom I can say that VSCode runs circles around Atom even though both of them are electron based editors.

Not that great. Chrome still crashes beyond 50 tabs and/or eats up a lot of CPU slowing the system while I easily have 150 tabs on FF.

Thanks a lot for making this. I found out about this while installing Git 2.11 when it asked if I'd like to enable symlink support. Makes life a lot easier.

Firefox easily handles upwards of 50 tabs while Chrome keeps crashing most of the times for me and takes up a lot of load time. FF extensions are really great compared to Chrome (apart from some Chorome Apps). My only remaining gripe with F

I think solar efficiency improvements played a very large factor and also the cheaper labour costs in India.

Well, my almost an year and a half old Dell Inspiron 5558 gives me 5 to 6 hours (gave 7 to 8 when new) with just web browsing. I don't think that's all that great. And mind you, I am the kind of person who has managed to accrue a

That's exactly what they have been trying to critique for the last two years on Black Fridays. Blind consumerism. Advertisers are literally throwing money at a hole in the ground. They even state at their page "Why don't you

That's exactly the point they are making and have been for the last two years. They were able to sell actual 'bull shit' to people last year and jacked up their prices last to last year and yet sales went higher than ever bef
