I like it when they say 'call the number printed on your bank card'. If they publish an outbound number then scammers will spoof it.

Non partisan reasons to dislike Twitter as a tool of communication were posted before you made this comment. Anyway, your experience of any social media depends on how you curate it. For example I only follow professional photographers on I

'i can hear a difference' is much more honest and plausible than making up a technical sounding phrase to pass for explanation.

It is for Twitter. Our attention is a synonym for showing ads. If advertisers step away because they got nervous about the behavior of the new owner then it's better for Twitter to have other sources of income than not.

I think Twitter will sell your attention in addition to other revenue streams, given the chance.

Still one person trying to watch over about 10 customers. No match for a tireless machine watching the whole store through dozens of cameras.

So you could make the cut (be considered a successful exam taker) with a zero score just because a large proportion of your peers got negative scores? This seems just as unhelpful for deciding who to hire or who to allow onto a higher cours

I'd speculate they are doing some balance of what gets stolen the most, and price. But I'm in the UK and I mostly see higher priced items like brand name razor blades getting locked away.

I think there's an important difference between unmanned and self checkout which you missed from the post you replied to: the person who scans a few items but steals others at a self checkout. In a no checkout store you already identif

There's a tipping point where it's cheaper to employ staff to get stuff out of a cabinet than to catch all the people stealing.

That sounds like it was designed to be easy to game; income in last two years as a metric rather than total assets, or zip code, or high school attended etc Does India have something like SAT as well?

I'm bored by the blatherers too, but there is survey data to indicate younger people drinking less than earlier generations. Might just be drink being less affordable, or other drugs being more affordable rather than a fashion decision

There were lots of buyers of coal at the time UK mines closed, but other sellers were able to supply at a lower price. There continue to be buyers of coal now, and indeed the UK recently approved a new mine https://www.bbc.co.uk&

Mailonline website is editorially separate from the print newspaper last I heard. Not saying it's better or worse. All the press is a click bait indignation generator, just different ones cater to different tastes in indignation.

Postcodes are designed to facilitate sorting and last mile delivery so no surprise if large buildings have multiple codes. DVLA in Swansea has several, probably because they get a lot of post in a few distinct categories.
