I think it is 'fittest with respect with the current / incoming environment', in contrast with 'strongest' / 'fastest' / some other absolute measurement, at the expense of the rest.

Fentanyl adulterators, market creators and resellers certainly do, for higher margin selling and/or increased volume.

I wonder if there has been any study of what happens to LLMs subject to bit rot, given the level of compression of facts on one hand and the “superposition of stored facts” on the other one ( I’m obviously a layman here, I don’t even have t

My main problem with (jvm) stack traces is that they generally don't include information about the values that are passed to the function calls, so you get the structure of the code, but not the actual value that could help you reprodu

Based on whether they take you to places you don’t want to end at, which is an incomplete measure but quite a pragmatical one. E.g. if your set of axioms end at “erase half of the population by force”, then perhaps revisit your axioms.

In my experience (mainly when trying to understand the implementation of core.logic), the problem with protocols is that the code inspection tools choke on them.

The bureaucracy of opening the business is a proxy for the bureaucracy that the business will endure during this lifetime. Admittedly, opening in 30 minutes is the result of politicians gaming the KPI, no one needs to open a company in 30 m

The fact that it was later bought by Microsoft (and rewritten in C++ so it can run on consoles[1]) is not relevant to the argument that you can, in fact, write a successful and performant game in Java, if you know how. [1] My source is just

Some time ago parinfer ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42766205 ) took some attention as a more pythonesque approach to matching presentation and meaning. I liked it, but it seems that it didn’t catch on, alas.

Naïvely, writing only one logic relation of n parameters is about equivalent to writing n^2 functions (just decide for each parameter whether you give it or not as input). So there clearly is value there. I say naïvely because on one hand y
