You're taking this too seriously. This is not even pseudo science. Just Pseudo.

Its not an exact science, or even close to approximate. It's more for fun than anything else. The correlation between style and personality is 'loose'. And a lot of it is in the perspective of the observer and what he knows a

Yeah age is not relevant really, but I went for a complete example. As for vim, or emacs in particular, I actually met a few of these 20 something programmers with enthusiasm who went there. Some stayed, some came back frightened. But they

It's quite hard to examplify once I actually think about an example, but I'll try. It's more a global vibe of a piece of code rather then semantics but they do play a part (using Python as example): A young person (say 24), h

This is very interesting. Not completely unrelated, a friend once told me he can tell a lot about the personality of a person by looking at their code. Years later I actually understood what he meant. Style does have some correlation with p

Did I ever say that? Of course we have corruption in the UK. Like in any country in the wold. What I said, and I said it as a staunch remainer, is that the EU has done nothing on their side to prevent the catastrophe we're facing now.

Stuff like that is one of the reasons we're now in Brexit mode in the UK... I blame both sides for whatever is to come.

I'm well aware of the British and American layouts (I cannot use UK keyboards as a coder). But what about the "Euro English" keyboard? Is that an equivalent of the American one? Or something else completely?

I have a feeling that if you tally up all the times a server was hacked, Wordpress will be the reason for the bulk of them. Yes many platforms when not kept upgraded will have holes, but nothing in the magnitude of the WordPress universe.

Wordpress is like a gift that keeps on giving for hackers and blackhats. All it takes is missing one vital upgrade or using an outdated plugin.

Isn't it simpler to enforce-by-convention good ethical practices when developing web apps and sites? The slowness is many times not caused by the site but by the underlying extras underneath - useless and badly done ad tracking, overdo

Sorry, but I wouldn't like to lose the ability to build fully custom solutions. I don't want to rely on defaults. One person's sensible default is another's insane one. JavaScript is what it is today because it serves a

As a contractor I can see different approaches across companies. Some go for quality over delivery, some for delivery over quality. What I rarely see is balance. There should be a sweet spot somewhere there. Great developers though will pr
