This looks interesting, though I was a bit surprised to see Dragon's Den in the list of movies. I always found Dragon's Den to be the outlet of the desperate, where one receives a small sum of money for a huge stake their company,

In my previous startup we used mongo as the main datastore (this was pre Postgres 9.4, before indexable JSONB). It worked for us, and it worked fine. I saw the mob rising up against it, but we have not had any of the problems (maybe we just

It might, but those are edge cases that should not merit a full blown commercial enterprise to sell them. I can imagine what's going to happen next: co worker did me wrong, I'll nuke his laptop when he's off to the loo. Girl

If this is meant for "testing ones equipment", and most devices will be destroyed in the process, then a test means a sacrifice of the device. Short of actual security/test professionals who would want that? Malicious use is

It was not meant for data - it is a presentation tool. It is the result of consuming data, not the data itself. For that purpose it's not ugly and it fits its purpose. No idea why my comment was downvoted...

I spent a lot of time looking for Draft like editors that would be simple, small yet have the potential for power. This project nails it! Well done.

How about this (just throwing some ideas out there): 1. Create more niche "properties" that provide a small to medium services. focus on something people might need, be willing to pay a small amount for, and ideally can run with m

Nope. Nothing new here. I remember SOA very well as the buzz word du jour back then. It sounds less cool than micro services though. At least we got our buzz words through the PR & Marketing departments in this decade.

Bottom line is that it's all a case by case basis. However I'll always warn against slicing microservices too thin. Each slice is a moving part outside of the machine and therefore brings in additional risk. I recently refactored&

I have a 4th one, also quite important to me: 4. I decided that a rule that cannot be broken when pragmatism requires, is not worth having. Common sense must prevail, always.

Yeah, decision 1 to say Yes was only applicable until I felt confident enough to say No. Perhaps I should have added 1.1: Unlearn decision 1, and say No when you don't want to do something.
