Read the whole post (it's worth it). The part you quoted refers to states which have damage caps >$1m (versus Texas at $250k). The author writes about his own experience going from Illinois to Indiana and then Texas. My uncle was

What do you consider to be ''absurd salaries''? A friend of mine is a hard working (50 hours/week) 35 year old GP in San Francisco and makes about $175k all-in, which is about the same as the average base + cash bo

There are other taxes and fees that add up. The State of California levies an $800 annual tax on every LLC doing business in the state, for example.

Thanks to zipcar, uber, postmates etc it's becoming easier than ever to survive without a car. That's traditionally been a huge expense. Now those dollars can be redirected to housing instead.

Adblock Plus whitelists all sorts of malware infested and annoying ad networks (for instance, Outbrain and Taboola). All they seem to care about is who will pay them the most money. I switched to uBlock and was reminded what a real ad fre

Adblock Plus has completely sold out due to their ''acceptable ads'' policy which whitelists 300+ ad feeds including most native ad networks (taboola, outbrain) and even some banner display ads now - basically, anybody w
