Exactly. I've done some lab work on reading muscle activity signals trough the skin, and the signals from the test subjects were very individual. The mass produced prostethic limbs with control systems are mostly mechanical and slow, e.g. t

Bionic prosthetic limbs like this is very hard to control, that's why it's newsworthy that a man can climb 103 stairs like this. To be able to use something like this requires lots of training and calibration, so it's not easy to mass produ

Very fun and beautiful game, just tried it out. I also like the solution that you can play up to 2 games for free, and then you can pay for it to be able to play more at the same time.

I often postpone buying technical books because I know they will too soon be dated. Since you're an author and on the other side of the table, what are your thoughts on offering those who bought the first edition the second book at a good p

You're right, but if it's critical I'll just request a new password. A bit tedious, but I'm not often in that situation.

It would be interesting to see some statistics before and after this announcement, even if it's still a young framework.

I'm going to have a break doing exactly this while trying to make something out of my ideas starting in July, and I'm aiming for six months before I'll see if I need a job or have something working on my own. So if anyone in Frankfurt wants

I'm using LastPass for this, you can specify how strong your unique generated password should be and it stores it for you. There are other similar ones like this also.

That would be practical, however many of the books also contain information on how they can be bought even if they are free. So that is also information that should be displayed. It's nice to support the writers where they provide something

Thank you, this is excellent stuff! It feels much more compelling to pay for a book that the writer is having enough confidence to give away for free.

In the FAQ it says: I used to, but I haven't had time to rework metric units to use the USDA food database. The metric measurements can currently be seen in the info tooltip next to each food. But yes, I'd also like metric units.

Maybe I'm looking at making music in the same fashion as open source programming. It also takes a lot of time, effort and some times money, and it does not give you any income directly. People may fork your code and you don't get any money

I lose a bit of interest in artists who complain about not making money on people listening to their music. It then seems that they make music to make money, instead of making money because they make music.
