Phew, I'm not alone! I'm sure posting so much here is part of their content/marketing strategy, and that bores me to death. Very aggressive and totally boring marketing strategy. But seeing how many upvote their articles, I guess it works.

Go vertical, even if it's all just a web host in behind. For example "Web hosting for dental cabinets". Of course something with value added over the host may work better

No, it's not. The book is pretty basic and the author might be scam but the book is good enough for the average person who does not have a clue of finance management.

+1! And I think I already read that post. Altucher is one of the most down-to-earth and at the same time inspiring bloggers.

I'm sick and tired of "Get up early" advice. What works for you doesn't work for everyone. I feel more productive in the evening, sometimes near midnight. So to get enough sleep I can't get up before 9 AM. Maybe working in 6 AM works great

But you can get one-way dofollow links by placing some of your code on Github. It can make sense, just needs some carful planning.

Most of these guys are beginners and don't really do the job well. There are some exceptions, but most simply do not delivered. I have hired few freelances on vWorkers and only 1 of the cheap was good. With the others I spent lots of time f

Rooting the b/w e-ink Nook is also possible and it's a better deal imho. You get a tablet with the advantages of e-Ink. Yes, it's grayscale but you can use it for weeks without charging your batteries and it's much better for the eyes.

What's the deal with John Morrow's posts today? First the one on Problogger, now this one. And again finishing with stupid imperative: "So burn it up, baby. Your ideas are counting on you." Dislike.

I remember the times when I used to believe stuff like this. Even subscribed for utterly useless membership once for $100 and wasted a couple of months trying to implement what the owner was suggesting. Somehow I figured out his advice was

The switch to Unity along with video card problems with the latest version made me leave Ubuntu and start using Mandriva. Happy of the change so far.

In my opinion and experience Facebook ads can work well only if you advertise your fan page. Get people like it (obviously the fan page needs to be interesting for this), then from time to time post stuff that advertises your startup. It's

Entertaining, but not too useful. If you really can't spend $10 on a domain name, you'd better go out clean few windows, and then buy it. Being too cheap is a sure recipe for failure, or if not failure, for a lot missed potential growth. I'

And how is drag n drop easier than having an upload button? I don't want to open explorer, find my file there, resize the window and drag with the mouse. Clicking on "upload" button and locating my file is much easier.
